The International Conference on Science and Engineering is an event hosted by Faculty of Science and Technology Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta. The 6th ICSE will be held hybrid platform on 7th to 8th August 2023 at the Convention Hall of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta, Indonesia. 

“Current Trends in Science and Engineering for Sustainable Society” has been chosen as the theme for the conference, with a focus on the latest research and trends, as well as future outlook of the field of science and engineering for a better environment, not damaging or overusing resources, and therefore able to leave a bountiful earth that future generations can continue to inhabit. This means taking into account both the imperatives present and those of the future, such as the preservation of the environment and natural resources or social and economic equity. This condition is called sustainable society. According to Stafford Borough Council (2022), one is able to create a sustainable society by protecting and enhancing the environment, meeting social needs, and promoting economic success. 

However, this is not easy to achieve. Thus, through this conference, we want to invite all researchers to discuss current trends, issues, and share innovative ideas to achieve sustainable society according to the fields of science and engineering. Moreover, theme discussed at the ICSE 2023 in in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations to tackle various kinds of problems, from poverty to environmental issues. The aim is to provide an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and research outcomes in theoretical and practical aspects as well as industrial applications.
